jean and rich's engagement session - japanese tea garden, de young museum, children's playground; san francisco

commentator: monica

jean and rich are such a lovely, fun-loving couple. for their engagement session, we decided to start at the japanese tea garden, where the park is in full bloom. we love j.t.g., not only because it's such a beautiful location but also because just outside the entrance are various sites to take photos at, which is what we decided to do with our happy couple. the de young museum has this awesome copper wall, which was a great complement to jean's deep red dress and rich's navy shirt.

afterwards, we headed to the other side of the park at koret children's quarters, also known as children's playground. jean & rich consider themselves to be big kids at heart so this was a great location for them to show off their youthful personalities on a carousel ride. rich is such a hard-working guy and depended on by his employees that he's often on his phone, which is a point of contention for the two. we decided to play off on this and show how much this drives jean up the wall. =)

congratulations on your engagement, jean & rich! thanks for the most delectable brunch at brenda's. it was worth the wait!

the sign that greeted us at the entrance of children's playground. good thing, we brought along some "big kids."

rich is always on the phone for business... one of jean's pet peeves.
