cornell, christine, camila, and cheyenne's family photo session

commentator: monica

newborns are such special subjects to photograph. it's always an honor to be asked to take the first professional photographs of a new infant and this time was no different. cheyenne was just 2 weeks old and her mommy christine and daddy cornell were hoping to photograph her with her umbilical cord still attached since her older sister camila's had stayed intact until her 3rd week. we saw a large print of the photo camila had taken as a newborn and swore that this had to be cheyenne. the two are spittin' images, just 3 years apart. although it had already fallen out, cheyenne was still a lil' wee cutie. she stayed asleep the entire time, which allowed us to take plenty of photos in her very cooperative "moldable" state.

thanks for spending the morning with us, the 4 c's! it was great to see you at fuji a couple of days later. =)

These are so beautiful, and so tender, I just love babies skin, it is so soft. The toes shot is so adorable, well so is everything.

Ed/Monica,

These pictures are amazing. I can't wait to see the rest of them. So, we didn't get a chance to capture Chayenne's umbilical cord. The opportunity to have someone as creative and talented as the both of you photograph my newborn made up for it 10 fold.

I love the way that you guys were able to capture my babies in their environment and not at a studio where it's cold and unfamiliar. Being able to take photograph at home were my kids are comfortable made such a big difference and made the pictures much more special.

Another thing that I love about you guys is that you are both so down to earth and easy to get along with. This made such a big difference to my older daughter. Now every time we take pictures, she says "Macaroni" and laughs.

I'm defiantly going to book you guys when Cornell and I have our 3rd baby. I will be recommending you to all my friends and family!!!!

Thanks a bunch!!!!!
